*UPDATE* Abortion-Fighting Group Abolitionists Rising Gets Banned from TikTok — Account Reinstated!

Policy Violations, or a Threat to Those Destabilizing America?

Early Monday January 8th, Christian abortion abolition group Abolitionists Rising (AR) reported on X that they have been banned from the TikTok platform. The ban is allegedly in response to “multiple policy violations” that AR committed. What those violations are remains a mystery, as the group has gotten little in the way of answers to that question.

AR has exploded in popularity recently, going from relative obscurity a year ago to surpassing 200,000 subscribers on YouTube. Their uncompromising message of abolishing, criminalizing, and stigmatizing abortion has been a beacon of light in the midst of a world filled with those who would murder our unborn neighbors, as well as the apathetic majority who dislike abortion to some extent, but would do nothing to stop it from happening.

Despite the increased support AR has experienced as of late, they have been cancelled by TikTok, sadly but unsurprisingly, as TikTok has been notorious for censoring content that goes against its values. Yet we are still left with the burning question: which of AR’s videos caused TikTok’s banning? AR’s follow-up Tweet gives us some insight:

Thus, we know one of the reasons AR got banned was for pointing out the fact that most slave abolitionists, like most abortion abolitionists today, were Bible-believing, uncompromising Christians who believed that African slaves (much like the unborn) are equal to all other men as image-bearers of God, deserving of equal protection under the law. In a world that has forgotten the meaning of justice, we at EWTC News are thankful for AR’s faithfulness to Jesus Christ and the gospel.

If you would like to contest the banning of Abolitionists Rising on TikTok, here are the instructions for how to do so.

Update: On 1/17/24 TikTok reinstated their account!
