Eastern Guru or Woke ‘Reverend’? The Difference is Unclear

“Exalted be the Divine ‘LGBT,’ the Holy ‘Becoming Ones’ ” ‑1 Queer Theology 1:1
In a post that sound more Eastern mysticism than Christian, self-proclaimed “Reverend” and author, Jacqui Lewis took to Twitter this evening to let Christians know that transgender people are in touch with the divine:

Her post opens with an affirmation of “Queer theology,” so we already know Dr. Lewis has departed from biblical Christianity. She has instead created an idol out of perverse sexuality. Lewis then exhorts her audience to listen to “queer siblings” by presupposing that queer people somehow have a unique access to theological knowledge that others do not have.
The tortured second sentence ends with Lewis asserting that queers have the ability to “become who they already are” by listening to “the divine voice.” One may wonder how someone can become what they already are, or how a divine voice that promotes sexual immorality could have anything to do with Christianity. Answers to these questions are found wanting in such incoherent ramblings.
But the bizarre rant does not stop there. In a short video displayed under this tweet, Dr. Lewis further pontificates on the majesty of queer identity:
…trans friends, when they are becoming who they already are. They are becoming who they already are. Oh my G‑d. What a beautiful thought that is. Something for us to learn from. To become who you already are. The imprint of the holy already on you. The blessing of God’s love already on you… Becoming who we already are.
Dr. Lewis seems quite obsessed with the unintelligible postmodern idea of “becoming who you already are.” Behind the empty platitudes, however, it is clear that Lewis not only believes that queer identity is not a sinful proclivity to repent of, but a positive identity to be celebrated and exalted. We, however, prefer the God-inspired words of the apostle Paul, who writes about homosexuals.
And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
