Mini Profile: Tiffany Bluhm

This mini profile was made as part of our look at the “2024 Exiles in Babylon Conference” and Max Lucado’s involvement in that conference. Click here for the main article on that story.

Tiffany Bluhm is a author, speaker, and podcaster, most notable for her book “Prey Tell.” She writes and speaks on topics of women’s equality, justice, and dignity. But her definitions of all those things do not line up with the Bible, but instead line up with the Cultural Marxist assumptions of “wokeness.”

  1. Systemic Racism
    • Tiffany adopts a worldview of oppressor-oppressed, both for “race” and gender. Though not as much as gender, ideas of systemic racism permeates much of her writing and speaking. This includes recommending “woke” books such as “Reparations” by Duke Kwon. In addition, she shared a post in 2020 that reads “The fact that people will believe that the pandemic is some kind of conspiracy because a YouTube video told them so but need ironclad proof to believe systemic racism exists is peak white supremacy.
  2. Women’s Liberation
    • Tiffany’s writing and speaking are flooded with terms of “systemic sexism,” “oppression,” “liberation,” and “the patriarchy,” but her paid ($2500) “cohort” called “the Resisterhood” serves as the most prominent example of her Critical Theory infused form of feminism. The cohort makes it clear that they will be exploring “women’s liberation.” She even goes as far as to include a critical scholar to talk about “transnational feminism.” If you are unsure what all these terms mean, they are all the technical parts that make up “wokeness,” and are counterparts of Critical Race Theory. The point is, this is equivalent to someone coming out and saying “I am a Critical Race Theorist.”
  3. The Bible only exists to serve her agenda
    • In general, she is pseudo-phycology and “woke” ideologies first, and only pulls the Bible in when it advances her cause. This happens to the degree that she downplays Jesus to elevate her agenda. To demonstrate, talking about the woman caught in adulatory she said: “[H]e first and foremost chose to protect her (John 7:53–8:11). He did not wait until he got to the bottom of the issue, finding out exactly what she had done, if she had been seduced, if there was a power imbalance, or if she started it. Ensuring her safety came first… He was not another man who would take advantage of her. Although Jesus told her to “Go and sin no more,” he did not condemn her.”
      • Jesus did not need to “get to the bottom of the issue,” He was God, He doesn’t have to “get to the bottom” of anything
      • “Go and sin no more” is a statement of condemnation, and an admonishment to no longer do condemnable things (sin)
      • Reads Jesus into this contentious text, not as someone calling for repentance from people, but as a man protecting abused woman from the patriarchy.
  4. Progressive Christianity
    • Tiffany has been featured in radically progressive “Christian” publications, something she proudly includes in her bio on her website. These include the likes of Red Letter Christian, a pro LGBT, pro radical climate change, pro Hamas group. As well as Sojourners, who follow a similar trend, and have gone as far as to say God is a black woman.

As should be clear, not only is Tiffany Bluhm “woke,” but is quite radical. These are the kind of people that motivated the creation of Enemies Within the Church, as their teachings are filtering down into the pews, and turning hearts and minds away from Christ, and towards wicked, worldly ideologies.
